Tree Felling

Tree Felling:To remove trees by straight felling or dismantle the tree in sections

Trees require removal either because they are dead, dying or dangerous or are no longer required. Where space is restricted sectional dismantling technique is used to bring the tree down. The tree is climbed and removed a limb at a time, the main stem of the tree is then removed in hand held pieces or roped down in larger pieces. The stem is brought down to ground level in this way or to a suitable height where there is ample space to fell the lowest part of the stem as a whole.

Other times when space, safety and a tree’s form allows, a tree may be felled in the traditional forestry sense of the term, by bringing the tree to ground as whole using practised methods to ensure a safe, controlled fell.
